HCMUS CTF (Ho Chi Minh University of Science Capture The Flag) is a capture the flag competition hosted by Computer Security Club at Faculty of Information Tech, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh. The competition is designed for undergraduate student with a mission to boost the security knowledge of university student community in Vietnam.
We have around 2 CTF events in a year:
- A CTF Qualification Round (around May and June): Jeopardy style, contains challenge of categories pwn, web, crypto, forensic, reverse engineering and also some misc challenge about algorithm, OSINT and/or Machine Learning security. The event is open for everyone, team size are 4, ~20 onsite team team having highest score will be selected for the Final Round.
- A CTF Final Round (3 week after the qualification round): Jeopardy style, selected team from the qualification round participated for the final prize. Local team have to participate onsite.
Our main sponsor is Faculty of Information Technology at University of Science, VNU-HCM. Other sponsors are tech companies (changed though year since we have to ask for sponsor). Besides, our CTF sponsorship are waiting to be approved by Google Cloud.
