Building on the success of the inaugural Maltego OSINT CTF in 2025, we are hosting the third Maltego Community OSINT CTF in 2026 to continue growing and strengthening the community. This initiative is designed to bring OSINT practitioners and enthusiasts together, foster collaboration, promote knowledge sharing, and encourage hands-on learning through engaging investigative challenges.

This time, it’s an hour-long, team-based online challenge open to investigators of all experience levels. Participants will solve OSINT challenges of varying complexity—from geolocation to person-of-interest investigations—with points awarded based on the difficulty of each task. Some challenges will include limited flag submission attempts and score decay, making the experience more challenging and competitive. The team with the highest total score at the end of the competition will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the team that completes the challenges in the shortest time will take the lead. While all participants will receive recognition, special awards will be given to the top three-ranked teams.
