Event organizersAccording to Social Engineer, Inc., 66 percent of all attacks by hackers, hacktivists and nation states include a social-engineering-attack vector. In this competition, teams will employ some of the most common tools and techniques of social engineering in order to gain access to the computing systems of a fictitious company. This challenge is a "capture the flag" style competition where flags are distributed online as well as on virtual computers and servers. Teams should be familiar with common tools and techniques of social engineers and bring with them one to three laptops capable of connecting to a Gb Ethernet switch, including any necessary dongles or Ethernet cables. Laptops should come configured with any preferred tools prior to the competition.
