event was delayed. last contact from them:

All,

Due to the overwhelming response to the CTF qualification round, we
are going to suspend the competition for a few days and spend the
weekend adding servers and network capacity. In addition, some
participants have requested that we delay the start of the competition
in observance of Yom Kippur.

We expect the competition to resume on Tuesday, October 7. The exact
time will be announced on Monday.

Thank you for your patience and interest. We look forward to meeting
many of you in Puerto Rico!

If you have any questions, please feel free to email ctf@malwareconference.org.

Any update?

tecknicaltomOct. 10, 2014, 10:02 p.m.

An email was sent on 2014-10-07 to registered participants:
All,
We've decided that to bring you the best experience, we are going to
delay the MalCon CTF quals until the dates of Oct 16 - Oct 19. We
apologize for any inconvenience.

ktOct. 13, 2014, 6:21 p.m.

"to registered participants". How could you register when the site was always down!? It's also fun that you mention "best experience" in the same sentence.

GameOfPWNZOct. 16, 2014, 6:18 p.m.

I have yet to see the site be up for registration...

solarwindOct. 21, 2014, 7:47 a.m.

With 2 start date shifts and registration problems this CTF is actually have been successfully started and finished, scoreboard http://71.184.244.169/ . Surprisingly it was very nice pentest-like competition, rarely spotted among open CTFs.

ktNov. 2, 2014, 12:02 a.m.

I wouldn't call it a success if only 10 teams played...

solarwindNov. 5, 2014, 4:29 p.m.

In pentest-like competitions many teams == DoS, 500 teams on single Windows 2012 server is overkill. But anyway was it really 10 teams? Where is scoreboard?

solarwindNov. 15, 2014, 8:37 a.m.

Where is scoreboard? Orgs claim that send it several weeks ago.
