Our first conclusion is that our main IP address is inserted to some blacklists, and a few national/international ISPs block us.

We have changed our IP address, thus, for a quick workaround,

As you know, we had major network issues not under our control. After about 12 hours from the beginning of the competition these network issues appeared. Now, all traffic that come from abroad to our primary IP address are dropped.

Because of these difficulties, which caused problems for contestants, we have prolonged the contest for 4 hours (until 2:00 IRST).

An alternative URL, i.e., http://ctf.certcc.ir is provided for contestants connecting from abroad.

Moreover, the alternative URL for the challenges with different ports are as follows:

Site seems to be down again in Italy

@SharifCTF OSS Signature challenge is down (the page works but the server that returns the flag does not - I'm getting 'Connection closed' message).

The ratings are getting way too low for this ctf, they definitely had serious connection issues but don't deserve such a low score. The challenges were, all considered, nice - not the best but still nice.

@dp1 in general people vote for the CTF "overall quality" and not for task level / difficulty. So if it goes smoothly then they vote max points, and if there are issues then they vote it down. As a result you end up with BreakIn (previously worth 0-5p) worth almost as much as Insomnihack Teaser, even though those are events at whole different level.
I still think the idea I proposed last year would work far better than voting. The idea was to score events automatically, based on % of top teams participating (and actually playing, so finishing somewhere in the top).

@dp1 considering the 'serious connection issues', many teams were unable to participate for many hours - so the CTF was rather unfair.

@Pharisaeus wouldn't that just lead to top teams remaining top teams forever, as whenever a new potentially good team was on top and thus moved the 'top' teams lower, the score would also be lowered?

@shaql2 no because the idea was to do it based on participation and not scores. The score would only be considered to verify if a team actually played or not. If PPP or LCBC finishes outside of top 50 it means they didn't really play.

@Pharisaeus @shaql2 I'm not saying this ctf deserver full score, but that giving the lowest score is a bit exaggerated. Still, until they upload the scoreboard and we're allowed to vote we can't really do much.

Network problems aside it was not a bad CTF. Organizers kind of shot themselves in the foot by delaying posting the scoreboard. I think they could have gotten better votes but the deadline has passed before the voting was opened to the public... :-/
